Proliferate - a narrative game

A Short narrative game made for the 1BIT Game Jam (2023)

Game was made in GameMaker Studio 2 with a custom built dialogue engine and shader engine. Featuring 4 days, 3 nights, almost 1000 lines of dialogue, and a wide variety of paths to follow with multiple different endings.

Step into the shoes of Charles, next in line to take the role of Doctor, just as his father and Grandfather held before him. That was the plan until he left his small town to pursue Art in the City, only returning now after the death of his Father. Charles soon finds out however, the death of his father and his inheritance are the least of his concerns, as he is the only one standing between the town and Proliferation…
